Surgery for pets in Denny

Apex Vets is an independent, family-run vet practice, providing our own 24-hour emergency vet and full surgical and diagnostics service. We offer a number of routine and elective surgical procedures and often use advanced diagnostic tools alongside. Some of the most common procedures we carry out are neutering procedures, wound repairs, dental surgeries, and tumour removals.

We can also perform many more complex surgeries due to having experienced veterinary surgeons and the ability to provide 24/7 local care to our patients after surgery.

Diagnostics available at Apex Vets

Our experienced veterinary team have access to advanced equipment that enables them to accurately diagnose a wide range of health conditions. Our diagnostic tools are often used prior to and during some surgical procedures.

Digital X-ray

Internal visualisation of your pet’s anatomy can often be the quickest way to an accurate diagnosis. Digital x-rays provide instant visuals of internal injuries and health problems, helping our team of vets to prescribe the correct procedure or medication to help with the ailment. Digital x-ray facilities at our Denny vet practice enable our team to share x-ray data by email if a referral or second opinion from a specialist is required.

Ultrasound

With our ultrasound diagnostic equipment at Apex Vets, we can provide non-invasive examination of internal cavities and visualise organs, such as your pet’s heart, kidney, liver, and bladder. Our team also use ultrasound to perform biopsies, confirm pet pregnancies, and check for bladder stones.  Our scanner is of exceptional quality.  Allowing us to measure and diagnose down to the millimetre.  Our Vet Doug performs Echocardiography, an assessment of heart form and function and can diagnose and treat many common causes of heart disease from right here at our veterinary surgery in Denny.

Endoscopy

We have very modern endoscopes and associated tools on-site.  These help us to diagnose a range of internal diseases and sometimes avoid surgery when pets eat something they should not.
