Our veterinary team at Winchester Avenue are regularly called to look after the relatively common ‘exotics’ (rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, chinchillas) with specific members of our team having a particular interest in birds (such as parrots and birds of prey) and reptiles including bearded dragons, tortoises, chameleons, geckos ,and more.

We have full facilities to perform diagnostics and treatments on reptiles and birds. For example, we regularly x-ray or ultrasound scan snakes, perform endoscopy on avian species and take blood samples from Bearded Dragons.

We have a dedicated exotics ward for in-patient care with vivarium and aviary facilities.
