Training Practice

We have an active training programme at Apex Vets for the next generation of veterinary professionals and allied professions. We encourage student placements right from high school age for any student interested in a career in animal care.

For vets: Once students get a place in a vet school we offer practical placements throughout the veterinary degree.  Interested students can see our recruitment pages here: Careers - Vet Surgeons, RVN, Support Staff | Apex Vets in Denny.

After qualification we have a 2 year internship programme for newly qualified veterinary surgeons with close support from our highly skilled team of vets and nurses.

For nurses we offer practical training placements for several colleges in Scotland and now offer a Modern Apprenticeship in veterinary nursing for employed staff who wish to take the next step.

For animal care assistants we offer training and development and support attendance at college for HNC and HND level qualifications.

For veterinary receptionists we offer an accredited training and development programme through the British Veterinary Receptionists Association.

It is important to us that students are involved in the care of our patients at all stages of the journey allowing us to bring on the next generation of professionals to care for the pets of the future. If you wish to know more about this, please discuss with your veterinary surgeon during an appointment.
